Our Pathway To Tech Program provides you with strong technical foundations designed to ensure you enter the sector with confidence! Upon successful completion of the 8-week training, you’ll have opportunities to work with our hiring partners who span innovative sectors like Financial Services, Consultancies, Big Tech, and Government. Think Accenture, Citibank, Goldman Sachs and EY – to name a few.

We teach you all the skills needed to thrive in a technology role, from problem-solving to collaboration, and from coding to managing projects.
Before landing with a client, you will have the opportunity to acquire an industry-recognised certification in Java to supplement your training.

GETTING YOU JOB READY

During your training, you’ll form part of an agile training group, learning by doing. You'll spend time understanding how software products are built in different companies in different industries. And, you'll be able to solve complex problems with simple solutions - focusing on adaptability. Your training group will become a tight-knit support network over the 8-week period as you prepare for a role in tech. Here's what to expect:

APPLYING TO OUR PROGRAM

We look for people with overall potential, aptitude to learn, and a personal passion for building a new career in tech. Our only requirements are that you have eligibility to work in the UK and are open to relocation for the role post training.

Our specialised training is intensive, which is why we ensure individuals who are accepted into the program are ready for 8 weeks of fast-paced learning. Whilst you don’t need a background in tech, there are a few key skills we’ll be looking out for, including self-development, intellectual horsepower, learning on the fly, curiosity, honesty, integrity, problem-solving ability, and an encouraging/ sharing mentality.

Once you’ve submitted an application, our assessment process has two stages that assess skills in communication, problem solving, teamwork and aptitude to learn. Upon completion of each stage, a selection of applicants will be invited to progress to the next stage. Here’s what to expect:

Stage 1 | Skills Solo Interview Assessment – An online assessment where you’ll be asked a series of behavioural style questions to be answered in the format of a video recording. This is to assess your communication skills and motivations for joining our programme.
Stage 2 | Logic Quiz Assessment – An online assessment where you’ll be asked a series of logic questions, measuring your problem solving and pattern recognition skills and therefore potential to learn to code.
Stage 3 | Group Assessment – You’ll meet other like-minded individuals, take part in a beginners training session on JavaScript (one of the coding languages we teach), and get involved in a group problem-solving activity.

We encourage you to watch our 3min Coding Explained video for an overview of what coding is, and the types of programming languages we teach. You’ll see that building a website or app requires many different elements and skills that are foundational to becoming a developer.

A NEW CAREER IN TECH

Upon successful completion of our training, you’ll have opportunities to work onsite with our hiring partners over an 18-month placement period.

During your placement, you’ll gain practical experience working on a variety of exciting projects as part of a real tech team. Our Talent Success Team will be on hand throughout your time with _nology to support you.

Plus, you’ll have access to ongoing upskilling opportunities and mentorship sessions.

At _nology we take anyone from any background and teach them to code, after the initial 12 weeks of training you will become a _nologist on a starting salary of £26k with pay rises every 6 months.

We then deploy you into an 18 month placement with our fantastic clients, enabling you to further your training and work as part of a real tech team.

During this time you’ll have unlimited access to the _nology support team alongside a whole host of other benefits.

After completing your training and being placed into one of our UK clients you will receive a competitive starting salary.

In response to market conditions and the rising cost of living, we have increased the _nologist salary range. 0-6 months employed - £26,0007-12 months employed - £28,00013-18 months employed - £30,000

12 weeks of full-time (9-5pm) training, ran remotely by our expert team of coaches. You’ll learn to code in multiple languages and gain over 500 hours of coding experience. You’ll spend time working on real life projects for exciting clients.

During training you’ll form part of an agile training team, learning by doing. Your team will become a tight-knit group over the fully immersive training period before integrating into the wider-tech sector.

Our client base incorporates every sector from financial services to Fashion, including FTSE 100 and global brands. Previous _nologists have worked at Deutsche Bank, , Accenture, CitiBank, PWC, Sky, Admiral, NatWest and Goldman Sachs.

Yes! We offer a relocation bonus of £2,000.
If you are already based in the UK but are needed to relocate for the role post-training, you will be eligible for this bonus in your first pay packet. We will need you to be open to relocating within the UK, including to London.

If you are placed into a role and you're unhappy, we do our best to understand why that is and help – through speaking with client, providing coaching or additional upskilling. We would want the process to be a positive one for both you and the client, so we’d do our very best to help and sort out the situation. If we think the client is being unfair/providing a bad environment, we’d withdraw you, otherwise we’d work with you get you back on track and feeling happy in the workplace. It is so important for us that you are happy.

In regards to leaving employment during the first 18 months with us, you would then be expected to pay back the training fee on a pro rata basis. I.e. if you leave after 9 months, you'd be expected to pay half of the course fee approx £4.5k.

Your pension and benefits will come through us, so these benefits include:
Bonus holiday for strong attendance, employee discounts, eyecare vouchers, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme, tech loan and client referral. £1,000 if you facilitate an introduction to a new client/new client area resulting in a _nology placement!

If there is more than one job offer we would of course consider your input, but we'd also bare in mind what we feel is best for future growth too.
